What We Do
At Southern Counties Lost Dog Tracking, we provide highly trained tracking dogs to help in the search for lost dogs (and the occasional adventurous tortoise!).
Our handlers and dogs complete a rigorous three-tier training programme, operational assessments, and ongoing continuing professional development (CPD) to ensure we maintain the highest operational standards.
Our tracking dogs are trained to follow the unique scent left by a lost dog. This enables them to quickly establish the dog's direction of travel, identify areas they may be revisiting, and dramatically reduce the search area. By providing accurate, evidence-based information, our dogs can achieve in hours what might otherwise take a large team of searchers days to cover.
Whether in rural countryside, woodland, towns or urban environments, our teams work efficiently and professionally to give owners the best possible chance of a safe reunion with their dog.
Southern Counties Lost Dog Tracking is proud to be trained by and part of the Lost Dog Tracking Network, founded by Claire Brown. The network provides expert tracking teams across the UK, ensuring lost dog owners have access to experienced, accredited handlers wherever they are. We are an unincorporated small charity and we are all volunteers.
